Like many of you, I have had my fair share of ups and downs in my life, but there’s one thing that has always kept me moving forward…
I was born and raised in Vallejo, California. My parents were honest and hard-working people; my dad was employed by Kaiser for a long time, and my mom sold furniture. They provided for my siblings and I, and we never went without, but I always wanted more. I still do. I set a very high standard for myself and success is something that I have always pursued relentlessly.
Even though I have always had lofty goals, I have also spent a lot of time working normal 8 to 5 positions. Hourly wages paid the bills and life was comfortable, but I have also always known that I had to do something else if I was ever going to get ahead. I wanted to take charge of my future. I wanted to own my life.
Then a few years ago, my mother passed away which was difficult for me personally and emotionally. She was always there for me and supported me in whatever I did. It was a tough time, but when I lost her, she left me in a good place financially, so I decided to take charge of my destiny.
I had earned my real estate license back in 2007, but I was only able to focus on it part time because I was always working other fulltime jobs. Then in 2014, I jumped into the field with both feet. I will be honest with you, my first couple of years were really challenging. It was tough to transition from the comfort and stability of a full-time job with a weekly paycheck.
But did I give up? Heck no. I kept after it. I pushed for success like I have always done. I wouldn’t settle for anything less. I was not going to give up. I never will. So, I continued to move forward, and I have learned so much along the way.
The biggest lesson I learned is Real Estate is not like a normal job. It is a way of life. the key to success is to invest in myself. I am a person and a business, and neither succeed without feeding them. Real estate is all about how I approach it. I have always put my entire self into whatever I do, including this career, but this field is all about how I focus my time on it.
So, I started concentrating on self-improvement. I surround myself with accomplished people. I constantly listen to podcasts and audiobooks about how to achieve success. I invest money and time into improving myself mentally and professionally. And you know what? It’s working!
I have had many great years in real estate and have accomplished a lot. What I’ve learned in this process is that success really isn’t a destination. It’s the journey that matters. The day to day efforts and events are what lead up to the big achievements. If I focus on the small things, big things follow!
Looking back, I realize a lot of my challenges and obstacles have led me to where I am today, and they are actually a big part of my success as a realtor. What I used to think were weaknesses have actually turned into strengths. I know what it’s like to struggle and that motivates me towards success, every day.
Above all, I learned how to fight for what I want through everything. I have learned to focus that ambition to serve my clients. I look at this field as a business of relationships, not transactions. My customers’ wants, needs, and interests are my first priority. My dream is to help my clients achieve their own dreams! And like my own journey to success, nothing will get in my way!Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my life. I would love nothing more than to share my experience and knowledge to assist you with your real estate needs, so I hope that you will allow me the opportunity to demonstrate my services and interview for the job.
